How will my item be packed?
Matched to what you’re sending, and no more than that. We use three levels of protection, and we’ll tell you honestly which one your item needs.
- Straight in the van
- Wrapped and protected
- Export compliant crate
Plenty of items travel straight in the van, with no extra packing at all.
Others are wrapped or protected in whatever way suits the item: blankets, foam or a case built around it, for anything delicate.
Commercial and export goods can go in a wooden crate, built to size for the item and the journey.
What makes a crate export compliant?
Many countries have strict rules for wooden packaging coming across their borders. The timber has to be heat-treated and stamped, so it can’t carry pests. Our crates are export compliant, so they’re accepted wherever your goods are going.
Packing for international shipments
Freight (goods moved by road, air or sea across borders) usually needs to be crated properly to survive the journey and clear customs. We pack for road freight, air freight and sea freight, part of our international freight service.
