Import and customs clearance

Import customs clearance for shipments arriving at all UK ports and airports, with the paperwork handled on your behalf.

What is import customs clearance?

Freight is the general term for goods shipped by road, air or sea, and any freight arriving in the UK from abroad has to clear customs before it can be delivered. We deal with all customs matters on your behalf.

Which ports and airports do you cover?

We cover all UK ports and airports, wherever your shipment arrives.

What happens at UK customs?

Your goods are declared, duty and VAT are worked out and paid, and then the goods are released for delivery.

Can you deliver the goods once they’re cleared?

Yes. Once your shipment is cleared, we deliver it to your door, the same as any other job. Call 01993 700111 to talk through what you’re importing.

How it works

  1. Tell us the job

Call us or send a quote request: what it is, where it's going and when.

  2. We plan it

We choose the right vehicle and packing, using our own vans or a trusted partner.

  3. Delivered

The same day, the next day or on the date you choose, with proof of delivery.

Every job is covered by our public liability, goods in transit and freight liability insurance. For high-value or unusual items, our broker can arrange extended cover.

Your questions, answered

Can you handle customs clearance for my imports?

Yes. We clear import shipments arriving at all UK ports and airports, and we deal with all the customs matters on your behalf.

What's the difference between logistics and freight?

Freight is the goods being moved, and the word is mostly used for shipping goods by road, air or sea, often internationally. Logistics is the whole job around it: planning, packing, transport, paperwork and delivery. We look after all of it.
