Sea freight

Sea freight forwarding from the UK to destinations worldwide, from a single pallet to a full container.

What is sea freight?

Sea freight is the movement of goods by ship between the UK and other countries, usually in a shipping container.

When is sea the right choice?

Sea suits larger, less urgent loads, where cost matters more than speed. For urgent or high-value shipments, air freight is usually the better fit.

How much can I ship?

Any size, up to a full container. From a single pallet to a full load, call 01993 700111 and we’ll arrange the right service for what you’re sending.

Do my crates need to be export compliant?

For wooden crates, yes. Export compliant crates are made from timber that’s heat-treated and stamped, so they’re accepted crossing borders without the risk of carrying pests. Read more about packing and crating.

Your questions, answered

Is my delivery insured?

Yes. We hold public liability, goods in transit and freight liability insurance. For high-value or unusual items, we work with our insurance broker to arrange extended cover, so tell us about anything special when you ask for a quote.
